A new consensus has developed. Food sold in supermarkets and manufactured goods are contributing to piles of toxic rubbish all over Europe. Given how much food is shipped around the EU, now is the time to put a tax on all extra bulk created for retail goods. We simply don't want apples on polystyrene trays, and plastic racks in biscuit packets - especially as we struggle to deal with the "recycled" items at the moment. Common needs must take priority over marketing - it's time to start...
