It is truly exciting to notice how the US democrats are finally back on track and how their progressive message is bringing a hope for a change, especially with the younger voters. Now after to terms of George W. I guess that people are simply fed up with the republicans, who left the economy, the image and the natural leading role of their nation in a desastrous state, but nevertheless it is true that having the choice between a woman and an afro-american candidate shows that the progressive heart of America is beating on a tremendously exciting rythm.
But all this excitment around the nomination for the democratic candidate in the presidential election should not be too blinding and as president Rasmussen states, whoever wins the nomination with the democrats must not forget that the true fight will be the one against the republican. And this time not against a religious fanatic, ultra conservative candidate, but as it looks like the fight will have to be won against senator John McCain a quite "liberal" republican, who is able to attract voters from the centre, on both sides.
Somewhere I would really have preferred a clear win by Obama on this super Tuesday, or at least that one of the candidates would have made the difference now, in February, as this would have left enough time to concentrate all the upcoming attacks on the republican party, and not having to fight during another two or three months against the best possible and probable democtrat candidate.
Anyway, I am truly looking forward to the show-down of this election as I am convinced that the democrats will make it in the end. They have my full and deep support!!!
